The second artist announcement for the 35th Gympie Music Muster lineup has just been released, hosting yet another prestigious crop of renowned talent from Australia and abroad to join the ranks of some of Australia’s finest country music giants including Kasey Chambers, John Williamson, Beccy Cole andThe McClymonts.
Held from August 25 – 28, The Muster’s 2ndline-up announce features some of the first performances in Australia from USA’s top 10 grossing touring comedian Rodney Carrington…and Canada’s biggest country music star (who just so happens to be Australian) Gord Bamford.
The line up of artists just announced to join the Muster bill include:

While this year’s line-up includes some of the biggest stars of Australian country music, due to the demand from his legion of Aussie fans also comes the addition of multi-million album selling US artist Rodney Carrington, whose first visit to Australia will introduce his unbridled and outrageous comedic music performances to the Muster. Having sold over three million albums, and as one of USA’s top 10 grossing touring comedians, the Texan comedian, actor and singer is wrapping up his two-year sell-out tour of the US and Canada to bring his Here Comes The Truth tour to the Muster stage for the first time.
After releasing his debut LP
Hanging with Rodney in 1998, the celebrated comedian and performer has rubbed shoulders with great names such as
Willie Nelson and
Toby Keith while starring in comedy films such as
Beer for my Horses and
Laughter’s Good. After this his career skyrocketed to see 9 million viewers tune into his one-hour Comedy Central TV special sitcom
Rodney in 2004-2006. With 1.1 million Facebook followers and his new single
Vote for Trump (#2 on iTunes Comedy Charts) audiences continue to love
Carrington’s raucous musical comedy which has seen many past sold out perfomances across the US and Canada.
Rodney is sure to pack out the Crow Bar when he appears at the Muster on Saturday 27th August.
The Muster runs from Thursday 25 – Sunday 28 August 2016.
