Tones And I announced for this weekend’s episode of ‘The Sound’

Tones And I will be leading this weekend’s episode of ABC music series The Sound.

With support from G Flip, Pierce Brothers and Adrian Eagle, Tones will be performing her latest track, ‘Fly Away’, which was released last Friday.

Jimmy Barnes will also team up with the Australian Chamber Orchestra for a performance at Sydney’s State Theatre of his song ‘Killing Time’ – also happens to be the name of his latest book.

Other artists announced on the lineup include Julia Jacklin, Ziggy Alberts, Tia Gostelow, Casey Barnes and Azure Ryder.

For this weekend’s tribute, Hunters and Collectors’ Mark Seymour, James Reyne and The Superjesus’ Sarah McLeod will band together with Dragon’s Mark Williams.

For its ‘From The Vault’ segment, The Sound will air archival footage of Crowded House.

Last weekend’s episode of The Sound featured a performance from The Avalanches, recorded at the Melbourne Planetarium. Other artists featured in the episode included Sam Fischer, Middle Kids and emerging acts Odette and Merci, Mercy.

The Sound broadcasts on Sundays at 6pm on ABC TV.
