TMN expands its editorial team

The Music Network has appointed Nicola Riches (nee Slade) as Managing Editor, effective immediately. Nicola worked in the UK music business for 14 years as Digital Editor for Music Week and Editor of online music business trade publication Record of the Day.

She will manage The Music Network team, including Nathan Jolly and Poppy Reid, while taking over the running of the daily newsletter, website and newly-launched quarterly magazine.

TMN owner Mark Dalgleish said he was delighted to snare Riches, once she arrived in Australia, “We have big plans for TMN and hiring one of the international music industry’s leading editors is a great coup for us and the Australian music industry. Her influence will be dramatic.”

Nicola began her career in 1999 writing for street press publication The Fly. She is author of three books about digital music and the music business, has moderated and chaired panels at many international industry events, and has interviewed numerous leading figures in the music business.

Nicola says, “I am very fortunate to have found a home at The Music Network where my knowledge and experience can be used to full effect. I am looking forward to continuing the excellent work of the team here.”
