Hooray! Winners revealed for TMN 30 Under 30 Awards 2020

Hooray! Winners revealed for TMN 30 Under 30 Awards 2020

It’s time to meet the incredible class of 2020.

From hundreds of applications and a shortlist of 50 finalists that followed, TMN can now reveal the 30 young professionals that represent the best and brightest minds in the Aussie music biz.

The average age of entrants was 26, with a diverse mix of candidates across all sectors of music. The list you’re about to scroll represents the future leaders of the Australian music industry.

In 2010, TMN compiled a list of fast-rising executives aged 30 and under. Each of them went on to build illustrious careers, some becoming global figures at home and abroad.

Widely respected peers like Jaddan Comerford, Susan Heymann and Craig Hawker were part of the class of 2010. They are now at the top of their game and continue to grow in influence.

Sadly though, only nine of the 30 were women back then. This year, however, the scales have levelled. The class of 2020 is made up of 15 women and 15 men.

“For over 25 years, TMN has been Australia’s go-to source for music business news, interviews, trends and airplay charts,” said publisher & editor, Jake Challenor.

TMN has also been a launchpad and tip sheet, connecting artists with the media. But today we get to celebrate the future leaders, moguls and champions from behind the scenes of the music industry. Congratulations to this year’s class of 2020. You all rock.”

Over the past week, TMN readers have been voting for a fan favourite. Voting is also now closed for the Reader’s Choice Poll, with the winner to be announced on Thursday (April 16).

From Monday, TMN will profile each of the winning entries from across the 10 categories.

This year’s TMN 30 Under 30 Awards are made possible thanks to six incredible sponsors, including APRA AMCOS, Eventbrite, MTV, Sony Music, Universal Music and Warner Music.
