Miranda Lambert tops TMN’s all-new Country Hot 50 airplay chart

Miranda Lambert is officially a trailblazer.

The country star has helped usher in a new era at Australian country radio, holding on to the #1 spot as The Music Network transitions to a brand new country airplay chart.

The TMN Country Hot 50 Powered by Radio Monitor replaces the TMN Country Airplay Chart from today (November 8).

The move follows a new partnership with Radio Monitor as TMN’s official charts provider, announced by TMN last month.

The new country chart includes airplay data from the platform’s extensive network of audio streams, and like the new TMN Hot 100, will run on a Friday to Thursday chart week and published each Friday morning.

The Country Hot 50 becomes the most comprehensive country airplay chart in the history of Australian radio, weighting data from almost double the number of contributors than previously monitored – including terrestrial radio, streaming-only providers and DAB+ stations.

Contributors to the new chart will include KIX Country, 98.9 FM, Triple M Country, iHeartCountry, ABC Country, Today’s Country 94One, Big Country Radio, The Wolf Country Radio, Australian Country Radio and the Hot Country Network, with more contributors to be added.

Archived data from the old country chart will remain available on TMN’s Charts homepage and can be accessed by travelling back through previous charting issues.
