The Kid Laroi and Scooter Braun part ways

The Kid Laroi has hooked up new management.

The Aussie singer and rapper parts ways with Scooter Braun, just three months after joining the high-profile manager’s SB Projects, and is said to have slipped into Adam Leber’s roster of Rebel Management.

Prior to joining SB Projects, The Kid was represented by Grade A Projects.

According to Billboard, which broke the story, Laroi and Braun split on amicable terms.

The Kid Laroi is the hottest of property. His hit song ‘Stay,’ a collaboration with Justin Bieber, is the No. 1 song on the planet right now.

This week, ‘Stay’ chalks up six straight weeks atop the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, a stint that ties it for the third-longest reign for a song by two or more co-billed solo male leads in the survey’s 63-year history

‘Stay’ also adds a ninth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, a seventh atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. survey, and a second frame at the summit of Billboard’s Radio Songs chart.

In Australia, it’s ruled the ARIA Singles Chart for 11 unbroken weeks.

The Gadigal-born singer and rapper with Kamilaroi roots is the first Indigenous solo Australian artist to lead the U.S. singles and albums charts.

He’s only 18, but he took his time with F*ck Love, which climbed to the top of the Billboard 200 chart a full year and two weeks after its release.

With that feat, his mixtape became just the 14th collection to take a full year to scale the summit since the Billboard 200 began publishing on a weekly cycle in March 1956.

The Los Angeles-based artist (real name Charlton Howard) also scooped an APRA Award in April, making him the youngest winner on the night.
