Scooter Braun Arrives in Australia, Spotted With The Kid Laroi
The Kid Laroi is in Australia, and so is his former manager Scooter Braun.
Multiple eagle-eyed sources told TMN today that the pair were spotted together backstage at the rapper’s sold-out show at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on Thursday night.
The sighting comes as Laroi embarks on his first headline tour of Australia.
It is understood that Braun, who also manages Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, touched down in Sydney yesterday to lure the First Nations artist back to his SB Projects management roster.
Laroi and Braun reportedly parted ways on amicable terms after working together for about three months. Laroi later signed with his third manager, Rebel founder and CEO Adam Leber, but the pairing was short-lived. Leber announced their split earlier this month.
As reported by TMN this week, it appears Braun is not the only music executive with eyes on Laroi. There is widespread speculation within the industry that Sony Music’s former vice president of A&R, Pat Handlin, is courting the global chart-topper.
Laroi signed a development deal with Sony Music, aged 12, and worked closely with Handlin and the label’s former vice president of cultural marketing & artist development, Petrina Convey. He went on to sign a global deal with Columbia Records, and in February last year became the youngest Australian solo artist to hit No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
