Tame Impala, KUČKA lead nominations for WA Music Awards

Tame Impala and KUČKA lead the nominations for the WA Music Awards with six nominations each.

Pond followed with five, and Tired Lion and San Cisco with four. Coming in with three nominations are Methyl Ethel, Drapht and Koi Child.

The Best Record Label category, presented byThe Music Network,will be a toss up between Jarrah, Pilerats, Spinning Top and Walking Horse.

The nominations were voted for by a pool of 700+ music industry members.

The public gets to vote, by Friday October 30, in six categories including Most Popular Live Act, Most Popular Event and Most Popular Video.

The awards are held at Jack Rabbit Slim’s on Thursday November 11.

Tickets are selling fast for the annualWAM Music Conferenceon November 6 & 7. The conference is part of WAM Festival which this year expands to four days, between Thursday November 5 – Sunday 8.
