WIN’s board of directors is renewed annually and consists of representatives from independent music companies and trade associations.

Joining Maria Amato as Australasia’s second rep on the board is Dylan Pellett, general manager of Independent Music NZ (IMNZ), as observer.

Successful applicants will learn the ropes with a mentor over a five-month span, during which time they'll enjoy expert industry training.

With her appointment, Maria Amato is both WIN’s first female chair and its first from the southern hemisphere.

Amato is Australia’s solo rep at WIN and is one of three new directors named to its board, while IMNZ's Dylan Pellett is named "observer."

“Cancelling never came to my mind,” Maria Amato, CEO of the Australian Independent Record Labels Association, tells TIO.
