“Might seem obvious but a good rule to live by is you don’t need to pay cash up front for your record deal,” Cooking Vinyl explains.

The acclaimed Melbourne soul outfit will share their first new release on the label, Under These Streets, on Friday September 17.

The first release through the new deal is "Under These Streets," a collection of eight tracks drawn from the vault of her band The Putbacks.

The Sydney trio join the likes of RÜFÜS DU SOL, The Jungle Giants, Skeggs and Amy Shark on the Select Music roster.

Cooking Vinyl Australia is casting its net farther and wider following a new partnership with Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
