Sounds Australia’s THE AUSSIE BBQ Returning to New York City
Aussie artists will take over part of Central Park in New York City for the annual THE AUSSIE BBQ SummerStage in mid-June.
Now in its fifth year, the free event curated by Sounds Australia has drawn thousands of New Yorkers to Central Park to see some of the best music coming out of Australia.
Previous homegrown stars who have performed at THE AUSSIE BBQ SummerStage since the event began in 2019 include Amy Shark, Baker Boy, Budjerah, Jebediah, G Flip, Peking Duk, Spiderbait, The Teskey Brothers, just to name a few.
The lineup for 2025 is the most eclectic so far, and will be entertaining fans on Saturday June 14th at the iconic New York City landmark:

The Wiggles’ DJ Dorothy Sound System ft. Lachy Wiggle & The Tree of Wisdom
Flewnt & Inkabee are a father-son hip-hop duo who caught the eye of Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent and have also performed at SXSW.
Gordi is known for her mix of electronica with warm, intimate folk. She’s previously featured on the Tiny Desk performance series and has been likened to the “Female Bon Iver” by NYLON.
Grace Cummings’ soulful ballads quickly rose out of Melbourne’s indie scene on the strength of her powerful, distinctive voice. Her voice has been described by Pitchfork as “a truly dazzling instrument”.”
PINES are an electronic duo celebrated for their dynamic fusion of pulsating beats, distorted basslines, and captivating melodies, enriched by cinematic and orchestral atmospheres.
Garage rockers The Grogans channel ‘60s surf music into a contemporary sound coloured by blues and psych rock. They’re releasing their new album, Stagger, in late May.
Rounding out this year’s lineup is one of the most iconic Australian groups of all time, The Wiggles, who have been writing and performing beloved hit music for children since 1991. With much-loved character Dorothy The Dinosour behind the decks, they will be debuting The Wiggles’ DJ Dorothy Sound System ft. Lachy Wiggle & The Tree of Wisdom for the first time outside of Australia.
