Shannon Noll Signs Deal With WMA, drops new single
PRESS RELEASE:
Warner Music Australia is pleased to announce the signing of Aussie rock legend Shannon Noll. The signing will see Shannon release his latest single, Who I Am, on September 30, the day before his Deni Ute Muster performance. The official film clip for Who I Am will also be filmed at the Deni Ute Muster, but for a first taste, fans can check out the single’s lyric video by clicking here!
When talking about the single Shannon stated, “Who I Am is me saying this is me like it or not, I think in this business people try to make you something you’re not. It’s a joyful song that is all about being yourself and doing the things that make you happy.” Who I Am will be followed by a second single and the release of Shannon’s fifth studio album in early 2017. “I feel refreshed and ready to go! The last 3 songs I’ve co-written recently are my favourite songs on the album! The new songs are different in the sense they are very current sounding and the message is a celebration of who I am and where I come from, and also the passion I have for the country I live in.”
Since the release of Shannon’s 2004 debut album That’s What I’m Talking About, Noll has sold more than 600,000 albums and received five ARIA No. 1 Chart Awards for his albums That’s What I’m Talking About, Shine and the singles What About Me, Learn To Fly and Shine.
In the past 18 months Noll has become a blue collar hero ofmodern day young Aussies – and a talking point on the internet. An increased interestin Shannon’s music has led to raucous sold out gigs across Australia.
