Select Music enters its next chapter, announces new agent [EXCLUSIVE]

Sydney-based booking agency Select Music may already have an enviable growing stable and some of the most beloved staffers in the country, but its new addition hints at an even bigger expansion.

TIO can exclusively reveal Select Music’s appointment of Jimmy Kleiner, who previously held roles at 123 Agency and as a tour manager for Trophy Eyes prior to that.

The appointment marks the next chapter for the booking agency behind RÜFÜS DU SOL, Amy Shark, Thelma Plum, Boy & Bear, The Temper Trap, The Jungle Giants, Skegss, imbi the girl and many more.

Select Music CEO Stephen Wade said:

“With Jimmy we have been able to hire a person who is a perfect fit for the culture we have developed here at Select Music. He is in the industry for all the right reasons, has a great reputation amongst his peers, and is a great agent, but most importantly a great person.

“He joins the company with a wealth of knowledge and experience having previously toured with some of Australia’s biggest acts both internationally and nationally.”

Jimmy Kleiner added:

“I’ve looked up to the Select team for a long time, it feels fantastic to be on the tools with one of the most respected music companies in the country.”

Since its launch in 2005, Select Music has been spearheaded by Stephen Wade and Rob G to become one of the most successful independent Australian-owned agencies in the country. Its track record has helped build long term live careers for award-winning Australian artists such as Ball Park Music, Passenger, The Veronicas, and so many more.

In March 2018, Select Music’s Stephen Wade took out Booking Agent of the Year at the inaugural Industry Observer Awards in Sydney, with Casey O’Shaughnessy shortlisted for the prize.
