SACHI Signs With Concord Music Publishing ANZ (EXCLUSIVE)
Electronic dance pop act SACHI is the latest signing to Concord Music Publishing ANZ, The Music Network can exclusively reveal.
To celebrate this new deal, the New Zealand pair release fresh cut “Feel Good” on Friday, Sept. 22 via Warner Music Australia.
SACHI are Auckland-based buddies Will Thomas and Nick Chrisp. Championed early on by Diplo, SACHI has landed a string of gold and platinum-certified tracks in their homeland, including “No More,” “Shelter,” “Worst Behaviour” and the official remix of compatriot Lorde’s hit “Green Light” along with Montell2099.
Along the way, the lads have released an album (2019’s Nights With Ruby) and a handful of singles and EPs, including 2021’s Breakfast With Ella, which features the track single “Down On Your Luck,” written in L.A., and utilising the vocals of collaborator Candace Sosa.
Their story is now a global one. “Sparking My Fire” has accumulated more than 17 million plays on Spotify, and “Shelter” is climbing to the 10 million plays milestone. SACHI boasts more than 171,000 monthly listeners on the streaming music platform.
On the live front, SACHI has been smashing it on festival stages around the globe. Last year, the duo landed a slot on Belgium’s Tomorrowland, making SACHI one of the first New Zealand acts to play the famous electronic music fest.
“We’re super stoked to be apart of the talented Concord roster and to work alongside the amazing team they have,” comments SACHI in a statement. “Excited to show the world all the music we’ve been working on!”
Adds Matt Tanner, VP A&R Concord Music Publishing ANZ, “I’ve known of SACHI since their late teens but working closely with them has been inspiring. Their collaborative songwriting and production prowess is nothing short of remarkable, as is their relentless pursuit of getting a great song. We’re thrilled to be part of Will and Nick’s journey.”
“Feel Good,” said to be an electronic “injection of positivity,” was written and created on a red-hot day in London and comes off the back of the act’s CLUB SACHI 360 DJ tour.
Concord Music Publishing ANZ was formed in August 2022 through Concord’s acquisition of Native Tongue, a family business based in Melbourne with staff in Sydney and Auckland.
Since then, the music company has signed the likes of Richard Clapton, Luude, Coterie and others.
