Rock Posters joins push for Victorians to get vaccinated

Rock Posters has joined a campaign for Victorians to get vaccinated for “The mighty V”.

It aims to nudge those who might be slightly hesitant to get the vaccine across the line. and is part of a wider bid to get the state’s venues open and live events back on track.

The Mighty V campaign will run throughout Melbourne for a month via sites donated by both Rock Posters and the Shout Out Loud networks.

The campaign will also donate funds to Support Act’s Crisis Relief Fund. The campaign’s 22 partner organisations have donated over $10,000 so far.

Support Act has already announced it will extend its Crisis Relief Grants to those working across sectors including theatre, dance and circus.

Marcus Seal, general manager of Rock Posters, said he is proud of the campaign.

“For 35 years, Rock Posters has been privileged to work with so many passionate artists, athletes, comedians, brands and beyond,” he said.

“We know we are not alone in the belief that the more we vaccinate, the safer we become as a community, which allows us get out and enjoy the return of live entertainment and sport. I am so proud we have received such comprehensive support from our many sponsors. Each has donated to Support Act, they are the ones who are helping us take a step forward, without leaving our brothers and sisters behind.”

Clive Miller, CEO of Support Act, added: “It’s a difficult time for everyone working in the creative sector at the moment and particularly those working in live performance. What’s clear is that the impacts of the Delta variant are going to be felt for quite some months and the support from Rock Posters and the sponsors will help to ensure that more people are able to access our crisis relief and mental health and wellbeing services.”

Rock Posters and Support Act both gave shoutouts to the partner organisations, and encouraged people to support them back when they had the choice: GOLD 104.3, KIIS 101.1, City of Melbourne, Herald Sun, Honda, Media Arts Lawyers, Melbourne City FC, Melbourne Gin Company, Music Victoria, Nine Network, 3AW 693, Nova 100, Smooth 91.5, Reason Party, Fox 101.9, Triple M 105.1, Seven Network, Spicers, Stannards, Warner Music Australia, White Glove Mover, Your Wills.
