Rick Price Launches Clarice Records

Rick Price, the ‘90s hitmaker, is now a label chief.
The “Heaven Knows” singer launches Clarice Records, and announces Australian artist issi as the enterprise’s first signing.
The pair have been “quietly creating together for over a year,” reads a statement, building a sound that’s “equal parts nostalgic and bold, heartfelt and cinematic.”
The first release, a duet, is said to be coming this month or next.
“Working with Rick has been life changing,” explains issi, who dropped the self-released ballad “Just Breathe” in 2020.
“He’s not only a musical genius but a kind, generous human being. I’m so grateful for everything he’s taught me and for believing in my voice. This opportunity is a dream come true for me.”
A native of Melbourne, issi (real name: Isabella Ciccone) has performed live at such events as Carlton President’s Club, The Olivia Newton-John charity event and the Victorian Bushfire appeal.
Clarice Records is named after Rick’s mother, and has the ambition to “champion real artistry, raw talent and music that cuts deep,” reps say.
Price emerged in the early 1990s and enjoyed a radio smash and ARIA top 10 hit with the ballad “Heaven Knows”, which went on to win APRA Song of the Year and collected export accolades.
The album of the same name peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Chart, and his singles “Not a Day Goes By”, “Walk Away Renee”, and “River of Love” all charted in his homeland.

Price has a string of live performances booked for later this month in Florida, with a tour of Australia lined up in September and October.
