Radio Ratings: ARN on top again (hey, that rhymes)

ARN have once again been crowned the top national radio network in today’s radio ratings.

Sydney’s WSFM continue to be a powerhouse for the network, as the #1 rating FM station, taking out the top spot across Mornings and Afternoons, as well as in Breakfast, where Jonesy & Amanda share the crown with KIIS 1065’s Kyle & Jackie O.

Adelaide’s Mix 102.3 also showed strength, as the #1 station overall, and top FM Breakfast show (Jodie & Soda)

ARN’s National Content Director Duncan Campbell says: “Our result in Sydney has been particularly brilliant with the Sydney breakfast teams of Jonesy & Amanda from WSFM and Kyle & Jackie O from KIIS 1065 sharing the equal #1 position on a share of 10.3%, WSFM being Sydney’s #1FM station for consecutive surveys, and KIIS 1065 taking out #1 Drive.

“In Melbourne, GOLD 104.3 retained its position as #2 FM Station with continued strength in the Breakfast, Morning and Afternoon timeslots.

“Mix 102.3 maintained its popularity as Adelaide’s #1 Station and we’re pleased with the performance trends so far in 2017 across Brisbane and Perth.”

ARN’s CEO Rob Atkinson adds: “Back to back #1 results for the ARN network is a great achievement and continues to support our commitment to deliver the very best commercial solutions to market.

“The results are a reflection of the strength across the National Network and our dominance in Sydney.

“In addition to holding the #1 Network overall, ARN are also #1 for key target demographics – #1 for Grocery Buyers, #1 for 40 – 54 and #1 for combined Breakfast share across the country.

“The success of the on-air network is complemented by the ongoing strength of our digital and social strategy, the growth of iHeartRadio, and the combination of assets available to market across both ARN and Conversant Media.”
