R Kelly facing new accusations of sexual misconduct

American R&B singer R Kelly is facing new accusations of sexual misconduct, after a new BBC documentary alleged that he groomed a 14-year-old as his “sex pet”.

The claim was made by his former girlfriend Kitti Jones in a new documentary R Kelly: Sex, Girls And Videotapes to be screened in the UK next week.

The 34-year-old says she was forced to have sex with him and others in “a sex dungeon” at least ten times.

During one of these, “I was introduced to one of the girls, that he told me he ‘trained’ since she was 14, those were his words.

“I saw that she was dressed like me, that she was saying the things I’d say and her mannerisms were like mine.”

Jones said that the lookalike was forced to crawl along the floor and perform a sex act on her, while R Kelly allegedly crowed: “This is my fucking pet, I trained her.

“She’s going to teach you how to be with me.”

Jones, who was with the singer for two years, was one of three women who last year in Rolling Stone accused R. Kelly of holding a sexually abusive “cult” where he controlled every aspect of their lives.

Through his lawyer, Kelly said he was “both alarmed and disturbed” at the claims and “unequivocally” denied them.

The rep continued: “Mr Kelly does not control the decision-making or force the actions of any other human being, including Ms Jones, by her own admission.

“Any claim of wrongdoing of any kind or of mistreatment of any woman by him is false, ill-motived and defamatory”.

Kelly has long been involved in various claims involving under-aged girls.

Ten years ago he escaped charges he had videotaped himself having sex with a 13-year-old.

He’s reportedly settled a number of civil cases out of court.

Film maker Ben Zand went to Chicago, where the singer grew up, to speak to former associates about the charges and the “wall of silence” that surrounded them.

Close friend Lovell Jones said on camera that his penchant for young looking girls was “common knowledge in the camp”.

Former manager Rocky Bivens claimed he attended Kelly’s 1994 marriage to the late singer Aaliyah, who was his protégé and 15 at the time.

Kelly and Aaliyah long denied the marriage.

Aaliyah’s debut album Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number sold three million in the US and had been produced by R. Kelly.

On August 25, 2001, she died in a plane crash with eight others after filming a video in the Bahamas.
