Psycroptic Sign to Legendary Metal Label

Australian metal titans Psycroptic have announced their signing to legendary label Metal Blade Records, marking a significant milestone in their 25-year career.
The Tasmanian death metal outfit are currently putting the finishing touches on their ninth studio album, while simultaneously releasing a punishing new single titled “Architects of Extinction”.
The band expressed their excitement about joining the Metal Blade family, with guitarist Joe Haley commenting: “Having grown up listening to countless amazing bands on the Metal Blade roster, the label had a big impact on shaping who we are as musicians, essentially becoming an integral part of our creative DNA.”
Bassist Todd Stern added: “We feel that at this point in our career, both the timing and the fit are seemingly perfect. Metal Blade and its roster have always been exceptional, and we are very grateful and humbled to join such a legendary list of artists that have been part of the label’s family throughout the ages.”
Psycroptic have firmly established themselves as one of Australia’s most successful extreme metal exports, having spent over two decades perfecting their brand of technical death metal.
The band’s lineup features the formidable Haley brothers – Joe on guitar and Dave on drums – alongside Jason Peppiatt handling vocal duties and Stern on bass. Jason Keyser of Origin has also contributed vocals to recent material and serves as a session and live vocalist for select tours.
Since their formation in the late ’90s, Psycroptic have released eight full-length albums, beginning with their self-released debut The Isle of Disenchantment in 2001, followed by fan favourite The Scepter of the Ancients in 2003. Their relentless touring schedule has taken them to approximately 40 countries worldwide, establishing them as global ambassadors for Australian metal.

Fans won’t have to wait long to witness Psycroptic’s ferocity in the flesh, as the band are set to embark on Australian and European tours in the coming weeks. The Australian leg kicks off with a hometown show in Hobart on June 6th, before traversing the country alongside fellow metal titans Ne Obliviscaris.
