The Orchard’s Priya Dewan promoted to VP of international marketing for APAC

Priya Dewan has been promoted to vice president of international marketing across the Asia Pacific at music distribution company The Orchard.

Dewan previously held the role of vice president of Southeast Asia and South Korea, with her promotion also inclusive of the managing director role of those same areas.

The promotion means Dewan holds the company’s first Pan-Asian role, after spending almost two decades in the business and being responsible for signing BTS’ label BIGHIT Music to The Orchard.

“In this new role I look forward to helping more clients from across the region achieve greater success by providing more access to our global tools and teams,” Dewan said in a statement.

“This also includes exploring bigger opportunities for our entire catalogue with our international digital service providers across the Asia-Pacific region.”

In Dewan’s new role, she will report to The Orchard’s chief operating officer, Colleen Theis, who said “Priya’s leadership and proven expertise at identifying and developing talent” will continue to benefit the company and its clients.

Last year, The Orchard added publishing services to its offering through a deal with Sony/ATV.
