Perfect Pitch Publishing Signs ‘The Voice 2024’ Champ Reuben De Melo

Reuben De Melo will take the next leap in his music career with Perfect Pitch Publishing.
The Australian indie-folk singer-songwriter and winner of The Voice Australia 2024 is represented by PPP by way of an exclusive global licensing agreement.
In a full-circle moment, notes a statement from PPP, the company also represents Reuben’s partner in life and music, Olivia De Melo.
“I first met Reuben through Olivia, when we signed her as a talented and prolific songwriter,” comments Clive Hodson, managing director of Perfect Pitch Publishing.
Over the years, he continues, “I’ve kept a close eye on his journey, and I was thrilled to hear he was auditioning for The Voice. Given the national platform the show provides, I was confident that once a wider audience heard what I’ve known all along – his exceptional voice and brilliant songwriting – the opportunities would open up for him.”
A 31-year-old De Melo captured the hearts of a nation with his perfect run in the 13th season of The Voice Australia, broadcast on Channel 7.
Mentored by the iconic LeAnn Rimes, De Melo collected the $100,000 prize, an industry recording development package, and a music masterclass.
He was introduced to The Voice Australia fans as a FIFO worker in the Western Australia mines, who turned to music to cope during challenging times, which included an unfortunate stint in a Dubai desert prison when airport officials mistook his herbal tea for illegal substances.
The Western Australia native released his debut EP, Consumed, in 2018, and followed it with several singles, including his 2020 breakout hit “Sweet Oblivion”, which clocked close to 5 million streams on Spotify.
At PPP, he joins the independent music publisher’s growing roster of west coast writers and artists which include Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse, Olivia De Melo, Joan & the Giants, Sophian, Boox Kid, No Charisma, Brendon Darby, Grace Barbe, Vdelli, Xtortya, Rupert John, and Duende Indalo.
