ONErpm Sets Sights on Australia, Taps Rick Butterworth to Lead

ONErpm expands its presence in Australia and New Zealand under Rick Butterworth, who’s tapped to lead regional business development for the U.S. music business solutions provider.

Based in Brisbane, Butterworth is appointed director of business development for Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, reporting to ONErpm’s CEO Emmanuel Zunz, a Billboard “Power Player” executive.

Butterworth is an experienced hand in international and digital marketing, most recently serving with Ingrooves Music Group as label & business development manager and consultant.

During an eight-year stint with Ingrooves, Butterworth signed and worked with EDM label OneLove, which had a global hit with Shouse’s “Love Tonight”; Common Folk Records (Ziggy Alberts); New Zealand reggae legends Katchafire, The Chats, The Screaming Jets, and more.

He cut his teeth in the music industry at Shock Records, before founding and operating Stubble Records and Dinner With Wolves.

On joining Amphead Music/The Orchard in 2003, he opened the distributor and label services specialist’s first international office and developed its presence in Southeast Asia.

The incoming executive’s “extensive experience working in the Australian, New Zealand, and Southeast Asian markets, particularly his focus on and ability to develop and expand international business, is incredibly exciting for ONErpm,” comments the business’ New York-based CEO Emmanuel Zunz.

Butterworth’s understanding of the company’s “vision and new platform technology, coupled with his ability to identify and develop talent,” Zunz continues, “marks an exciting start to ONErpm’s offerings in the market.”

Founded in 2010, ONErpm, a music distribution solutions and label services expert, now boasts 26 offices and studios in 16 countries.

The business is said to operate one of the largest YouTube Multi-Channel Networks (MCN), whose channels collectively generate over 11 billion views every month.
