APN New Zealand is no more
At the beginning of September APN News & Media, the parent company of the Australian Radio Network, and The Radio Network signaled to the market that they were looking at divesting their New Zealand radio assets, being TRN. APN NZ owns a stable of media assets in print, radio, digital and e-commerce – some of the biggest brands in the country. But that has changed.

APN NZ, TRN and Grabone have moved into a single corporate brand, now known as NZME. NZME or “N-Zed me” stands for New Zealand Media and Entertainment.

CEO Jane Hastings launched the new company brand saying: “Our combined assets have exceptional reach in the New Zealand market with 2.9 million people connecting with our brands every week.”
