Leading the list of nominees are Melbourne trio Camp Cope, who are nominated for six awards, Sydney band Gang of Youths with five nominations and Adelaide singer and rapper, Tkay Maidza, who has been nominated for four awards including International Live Achievement - Solo.

Nominees for the inaugural National Live Music Awards (NLMAs) across all 51 categories were announced at The Loft in Sydney this afternoon.

Nominee Hannah Crofts (All Our Exes Live in Texas)

A host of artists received three nominations including King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, RÜFÜS, Violent Soho, Sampa The Great, All Our Exes Live in Texas, SAFIA, Montaigne, Ngaiire, Briggs and DZ Deathrays.

On the events front, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival has collected four nominations, the most of its kind, with co-founder Danny Rogers nominated for the prestigious Industry Achievement Award.

The winning artists, events and venues will be revealed at eight venues situated across Australia - one in each State and Territory - on Tuesday October 29.

While all awards chosen by a judging panel comprised of 100 members, there are also two Public Voted Awards. Voting for these awards will commence on November 1.

Event Director Larry Heath revealed today his plans to expand the awards in 2017 to recognise more roles in the live music industry, from booking agents to roadies.

"My goal is to have the National Live Music Awards as a year-long voice celebrating the music industry," he said.
