The new 46-second on-air spot for Nine News highlights the strength and courage of Australia during the global health crisis, with footage from the recent bushfires, floods and pandemic.
Hay and Goodrem captivated viewers when they collaborated on Music From The Home Front, a brainchild of Michael Gudinski, broadcast on Nine for frontline health workers.
The broadcast was a ratings winner for Nine, securing a national peak audience of 1.419 million Australians and a national average audience of 1.159 million viewers.
For people aged 16-39, it was the #1 program in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth and the #1 show of the night in metro markets for people ages 25-54, according to OzTAM data.
As well as donating the song for Nine’s new promo, Hay is supporting fundraising for the Cobargo Community Bush Fire Recovery Fund which he says holds a special place in his heart.
