Nina Rabe-Cairns Promoted to Managing Director APAC at Ingrooves
Nina Rabe-Cairns has been elevated to managing director of APAC for Ingrooves Music Group.
In her new role, she picks up responsibility for Japan and Korea, in addition to her previous areas of Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
Rabe-Cairns joined the distribution, marketing and technology company in 2020 after several years at Spotify where she was a senior editor, playlist curator, and market strategy and operations manager for Australia and New Zealand.
She’s also spent time as a senior brand marketing manager for Nickelodeon, and head of content for Viacom’s digital editorial team, working on the likes of MTV and Comedy Central.
Jeff Cuatto, interim chief executive officer, welcomed Rabe-Cairns’ elevation.
“Nina’s deep knowledge of her territories has been evident in the dramatic growth she’s been able to achieve in the region during the time that she’s been at the company,” he said.
“This expanded role will enable her to continue to leverage her longstanding relationships and expertise to continue to build our portfolio in APAC countries.”
Rabe-Cairns said she’s thankful for the opportunity to contribute even more to Ingrooves’ mission.
“It’s an exciting time for global independent music distribution as we continue to achieve incredible success and extend our physical presence in multiple markets around the world,” she said.
Earlier this year, Rabe-Cairns appeared on the “Fear at the Top” podcast with hosts Poppy Reid and Luke Girgis and explored how Universal Music Group’s acquisition of Ingrooves works as well as the group’s global plans.
