NIMA reveal Australian radio’s most played Indigenous songs

The National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMA) has revealed Australian radio’s 20 most-played songs by Indigenous artists this year.

NIMA shared the list ahead of its 2020 award ceremony, due to take place on August 8.

‘Move’ by Baker Boy topped the list, with Jessica Mauboy’s ‘Selfish’ and ‘Little Things’ claiming the second and third spots. The Kid LAROI and Mauboy scored the most entries, with three each.

Half of the list’s songs were recorded by female artists. View the full list below:

Several artists appearing on the list will perform at the virtual awards ceremony this Saturday, including Mauboy, Thelma Plum and Miiesha.

Proceedings commence at 7pm AEST, hosted by Elaine Crombie and Steven Oliver.

The ceremony will air on NITV, Double J, National Indigenous Radio Service, TEABBA and through NIMA’s social media channels.
