Warner Chappell Music has signed Sydney producer-songwriter Julian Sudek to a new global publishing deal, covering both his existing catalogue and future works.

The agreement sees the ARIA Award-winning producer and songwriter join Warner Chappell's international roster as the company looks to further develop his career both locally and overseas.

Sudek has built a reputation as one of Australia's most in-demand producer-songwriters, with credits spanning Genesis Owusu, Rum Jungle, Bean Magazine and more. He also played a key role in the early career of indie duo Royel Otis, having produced their debut EP Campus. He also contributed as a songwriter across other songs from the band and spent five years as their touring drummer.

Warner Chappell Music Australasia president Dan Rosen said Sudek's work had already made a significant impact both at home and internationally. “I'm delighted to welcome Julian Sudek to our international roster,” he said.

"Julian's exceptional talent for production and songwriting, notably his work with Royel Otis and collaborations with Genesis Owusu, have shaped the Australian music landscape while also resonating on a global scale. We're incredibly excited to support the next phase of his career at Warner Chappell."

Warner Chappell Music Australia senior A&R manager John Halstead added: "Julian is one of the most talented and instinctive producer-songwriters to come out of Australia in recent years. His fingerprints are all over some of the country's most exciting music, and we're incredibly proud to be partnering with him as he steps fully into his own creative chapter."

Sudek said Warner Chappell's approach made it the right fit for the next stage of his career.

“As an artist, their progressive and creative approach feels unique and empowering,” he said. "The team has a brilliant dynamic and feel savvy and empathetic to the needs of my career. We feel in alignment with the vision, and I cannot wait to continue building with them into the future."

Now based full-time in Sydney, Sudek operates his own studio and continues to expand his production and songwriting portfolio across Australia's independent music scene.
