Australian viral song “Eastern Rosellas” has scored a limited vinyl release.
Impressed Recordings have announced 500 7'' translucent red vinyl copies of the track by seven-year-old Miles Phillips will start shipping in October, with pre-orders available now.
The song, about young Miles' favourite bird, has racked up millions of views across social media. Written with his producer dad Joel, "Eastern Rosellas" has even cracked the ARIA charts, currently sitting at No. 5 on the Australian Singles list. It's also been covered by the likes of Ben Lee and Ball Park Music's Sam Cromack.
"Super surreal for me … because I’ve always dreamt of making music that might end up pressed on vinyl (bucket list sort of thing)… NEVER IN MY WILDEST DREAMS did I expect it to be in the form of my 7 year old’s Rosellas song," Joel Phillips wrote on Instagram. “That is like DOUBLE special.”
Shipping of the vinyls will commence from October 16th. Click here for more details.
