Universal Music Publishing launches sync licensing platform

Yesterday Universal Music Publishing Australia announced the launch of UMPG Songs,its new online music platform, designed to streamline the process of searching for music to license for synchronisation within Universal Music Publishing’s catalogue.

UMPG Songs boasts a library of songs numbering into the hundreds of thousands and the ability to search through them with ‘expertly curated content and smart music discovery tools’. The system lets you searchbased on a wide variety of criteria including genre, mood, theme and instruments used as well as the ability to search for the artists up front. The platform has been available to the US and UK for some time now.

We’ve made the song search process very engaging for our clients and also made it a precise and quicker process."

The new system is also set to make it easier for artists to pitch their work as well as organise collaborations with overseas offices.
