Earlier in 2015, Sydney producer/singer BUOY gave a preview into her gorgeous, quirky sounds with Took Me Up, neatly mixing her beautiful singing voice with sparse, distorted production. She’s at it again with Don’t Want To See You, which has been sitting on BUOY’s Unearthed profile for around a week now. Where Took Me Up went down a dark path, this new track is akin to floating on a cloud, but it’s extra soft and serene because the cloud is made of marshmallows. It’s still plenty glitchy in parts with each synth squiggle buzzing through the headphones, but combined with a voice as pristine and pure as BUOY’s, this makes for a transcendent four minutes.
