Jessica Cerro, better known as Montaigne, has been going from strength to strength ever since we first stumbled across the Sydney artist as one of our Unearthed High finalists back in 2012. In preparation for her debut album, she has once again teamed up with Sydney producer Tony Buchen, and the resulting new single shows off a completely new side to Montaigne.

In The Dark throws away any safe preconceptions you may have had about the singer-songwriter and dives deep into the alternative pop world of artists like Bjӧrk and Talking Heads - syncopated beats, edgy synth lines and warped vocals swirl through the speakers and anchor themselves deep into your subconscious, leaving you wanting more.

Montaigne is currently on tour as support for Boy & Bear before she kicks off a solo tour in April; her debut album is due towards the end of 2016.
