The Triffid's Qld Album of the Year to Return This Year

The Triffid's Queensland Album of the Year is confirmed to return in 2026 for its 11th edition. 

Public voting for the honour is open now and closes on Friday, November 6th, before the event goes ahead at the beloved Brisbane live music venue on Thursday, November 12th.

Fans who vote will go into the draw to win a stack of prizes, including a double pass to Spilt Milk Festival, tickets to any event held at The Triffid in the next year and food and drink vouchers,

“Queensland keeps punching above its weight when it comes to music. Every year there are incredible records being made here, and our Album of the Year initiative gives us a chance to celebrate that and put the spotlight back on the artists," founder of The Triffid and Director of Client & Stakeholder Engagement (Venues) for Live Nation, John Collins, said.

“The Triffid has always been about supporting local music and giving artists a place to play, grow and connect with audiences. What makes this award particularly special is that the fans decide it. They’re the ones buying the records, going to the shows and backing these artists, so we want them to get involved and have their say.”
