If there was one unequivocal winner at the ARIAs launch yesterday – apart from the artists and professionals who, you know, won things – it was the newest addition to the awards. 

The decision to introduce an ARIA for Music Teacher of the Year scored the biggest cheer of the event, showing that there’s certainly an appetite to recognise the tireless work and passion of those nurturing Aussie music from the ground up
