PPCA and the Australia Council announce five $15K recording grants

PPCA and the Australia Council today announced five one-off recording grants of up for $15,000. Applications are open until December 9.

“Recording can sometimes be a long and costly process. These grants are aimed at helping local artists manage the costs associated with recording their music and I would encourage artists looking to record in the next 12 months to apply for this grant,” PPCA CEO Dan Rosen said.

Further to this, The Australia Council has announced they will again be offering its $50,0000 grants to support independent labels in releasing recordings by Australian artists. Application for these grants close on December 2.

Australia Council Director of Music Paul Mason stated: “We’re really pleased to be able to offer these grants again. Our first round earlier this year supported over 30 new Australian releases and we’re keen to maintain that funding opportunity for organisations taking on this vital work”
