Marcia Hines has announced the reissue of her most successful album, Discothèque, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, including three new tracks, on her Midnight Records label distributed through Community Music.

Alongside the 2006-released album, other records also now under the Midnight Records banner include Life, Marcia Sings Tapestry, Love Sides, and Velvet (The Original Cast Recording). Negotiations are ongoing to bring several more releases back to the label.

The Discothèque 20th anniversary edition is set to drop on Friday, October 30th. The reissue adds six tracks to the original: a new live recording of “Never Knew Love Like This Before,” previously unreleased remixes of “You To Me Are Everything,” and “Never Knew Love Like This Before,” from Brisbane artist and producer Lukae, two Velvet cast recordings (“Boogie Wonderland” and “It’s Raining Men”), and Sgt Slick’s remix of “I’ve Got the Music In Me.”

“I’ve been making records for a long time, and every album represents a different time in my life and a different part of my journey,” Hines said.

“There’s something really special about bringing these five albums together under Midnight Records, in partnership with Community Music. The music and the stories are still there, but now we have an opportunity to give the catalogue a new life and introduce it to new audiences along the way.

“It feels really good to have these albums together under our own banner, and there’s plenty more to come.”

Community Music's Dan Nascimento said the distribution business is thrilled to be working with the Australian music legend.

“We are honoured to be supporting Australia’s Queen of Pop and her label Midnight Records. Community Music exists to enhance artist independence and to be able to collaborate and empower the independence of one of Australia’s most iconic, important and prolific recording artists and performers is something we’re incredibly grateful for,” he said.
