Deezer streaming on the Apple Watch

Deezer streaming on the Apple Watch

France-based Deezer is now streaming music on the Apple Watch.

Pandora and Apple’s own music services are available on the Apple Watch, but not Spotify, which means Deezer has the opportunity to increase its subscription numbers, and provide a new feature for its current 6 million. Its catalogue of 40 million tracks makes it the largest of any music streaming service but Spotify and Apple Music are enjoying faster growth.

“I love my classic watch, but when I want to listen to Flow on-the-go, it’s my Deezer on Apple Watch that lets me listen to all my favorite tracks on hand – anytime, anywhere,” says Alexander Holland, Deezer’s Chief Content & Product Officer.

According to Deezer, these are the key features on its new app:

Flow – Your own personal DJ that knows exactly what you want to hear, utilising the best of man and machine to play all your favourite hits.

Player – Take control and “love” your favourite track or skip to play what you want every time.

Mixes – Let your mood dictate what you want to hear with mixes for every occasion.

Charts – Always stay ahead of what’s trending with Top Tracks, Top Albums, Top Playlists, and Top Artists.

My Music – Sync your watch with your iPhone and hear your entire saved music library including favourite tracks, albums, playlists, artists and podcasts.

Force Touch – Press firmly on the display to see your queue list, hit repeat, and play in shuffle mode …

The Deezer app for Apple Watch is available for iPhone users running iOS 8.2 or higher, and has rolled out already.

Deezer recently became compatible with Android Auto for those living in Australia as well as in Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The Deezer app is currently available as a free download for users of iPhone, iPad, Windows and Android devices.
