The DaBaby lawsuit has finally been settled.

The civil lawsuit, which accused the rapper of starting a brawl with his ex-girlfriend DaniLeigh's brother at a bowling alley, has been settled, according to a notice filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court (as per Rolling Stone).

Brandon Curiel, aka Brandon Bill$, submitted a notice of settlement for the entire case. The lawsuit had named DaBaby alongside the Zeus Network, a security company, and the bowling alley as among the defendants.

The case was headed to trial in October before its settlement. The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.

Curiel sued DaBaby, aka Jonathan Kirk, in February 2022, alleging that the rapper had physically assaulted him at LA bowling alley Corbin Bowl in the same month, which allegedly caused him “severe injury.”

Prior to the incident, Kirk had allegedly been “humiliating” DaniLeigh, Curiel's sister, with whom he shares a daughter, on social media.

In his deposition, Curiel stated that Kirk had “aggressively” approached him at the bowling alley, wherein he began threatening him.

“I just want to slap you up a bit,” Kirk allegedly told Curiel. “I just want to slap you around a little bit.”

In a video obtained by TMNZ, Kirk could be seen seemingly starting a fight with Curiel by taking a swing at him, before a group of men could be seen grappling with each other in the middle of the bowling lanes. No arrests were made over the scuffle.

As DaBaby, Curiel achieved severall hits across 2019 and the early 2020s, but a series of homophobic comments at Rolling Loud 2021 severely impacted his growing success.

He went on a brief hiatus after the release of his fourth album Baby on Baby 2, but he returned to music with Be More Grateful in January of this year.
