Adelaide Duo Cali Rd Sign to Island Records Australia
'Falling Fast' arrives as Cali Rd's first release through Island Records Australia and signals a fresh era for the brothers.

After building a sizeable audience online under the name The Hunt Brothers, siblings Sam and Jack Hunt have officially entered a new chapter of their career, relaunching as Cali Rd, armed with their debut single, "Falling Fast".
The track arrives as the duo's first release through Island Records Australia and signals a fresh era for the brothers, whose blend of folk-pop, country storytelling, and coastal influences has already attracted a loyal following across social media.
Written alongside Ned Philpot and producer Robbie De Sa (Baker Boy, MAY-A), "Falling Fast" explores the excitement and vulnerability that comes with an unexpected connection.
“Falling Fast is about that feeling of unexpectedly falling in love with someone that you’ve just met. It’s about being unable to stop yourself from going all in from the very start, and gaining an entirely new perspective of falling in love completely,” the duo said.
While the name may be new, Sam and Jack Hunt have spent years developing their sound. Born in Adelaide, the brothers grew up immersed in music through their father's country bands before spending much of their teenage years on a remote cattle station near Alice Springs. The isolation of outback life provided an unlikely creative incubator, allowing the pair to refine their songwriting and musicianship from an early age.
Following moves to Darwin, and later Sydney's Cronulla, the brothers continued writing and performing while balancing careers as an electrician and carpenter. Along the way, they amassed millions of views across their original songs and covers, attracting nearly 500,000 followers on TikTok and establishing themselves as one of Australia's emerging independent success stories.

Now performing as Cali Rd, the duo are drawing inspiration from both the rugged landscapes that shaped them and their new coastal surroundings. The result is a sound that blends folk-pop melodies with country influences and a subtle rock edge.
The release of "Falling Fast" comes ahead of a run of headline shows in Wollongong and Manly this August, before the pair join Boy & Bear on selected tour dates in September.
Cali Rd's “Falling Fast” is out now.
