brisbane industry stalwarts reach out to cover hawaiian baby drama

Music industry stalwarts, Kylie Lovejoy and Brendan Wright, have recently welcomed a baby boy whilst on their snorkelling trip in Hawaii. However, Phoenix was born three months premature and has had to remain in intensive care in hospital. While Phoenix’s US$1 million dollar (AU$1.35m) hospital fees will be covered by his own health insurance as an American citizen, the cost of staying in Hawaii and the Kylie and Brendan’s loss of income will cause considerable financial strain for the Lovejoy-Wrights.

This is where members of the music industry can help. Kylie’s friends have set up a crowd-funding page, where all funds raised will go immediately to the Lovejoy-Wrights to assist with their living expenses in Hawaii. Some may know of Kylie and Brendan, who are heavily involved in music festivals (including BIGSOUND and Gravefest), touring, production and stage management, as well as being in bands themselves.
