An oldie but a goodie: Commercial radio flocks to Bebe Rexha

Commercial radio hasoverlooked new singles this week infavour ofolder picks. With no additions from either Hit or Nova’s night shows, and a slim number of across-the-board adds from the major networks, overall it was a relatively quiet week on the commercial front.

First over the line wasBebe Rexha with ‘Meant To Be’ featuring bro country duo Florida Georgia Line. The track got some belated attention from the entire Nova and Hit Regional networks to win this week’s crown.

Interestingly, Rexha had a new trackserviced this – ’Home’ – alongside Machine Gun Kelly and X-Ambassadors. However, it only managed to spark a small amount of interest from MDs as ‘Meant To Be’ stole the show.

The surprise comes from Camelphat & Elderbrook with theircollaboration ‘Cola’. It was added on full rotation to the Nova Network and Hit105 Brisbane. Local artist E^ST also tracked well at commercial this week. ‘Life Goes On’ made a significant impression on the ACE Radio Network and Nova.

Helped on by additions to both KIIS stations, Marshmello & Khalid’s hit single ‘Silence’sneaks into the Top 5.U2’s latest cut ‘American Love’was expectedly snapped up by Triple M stations across the country, placing it just outside the tier.
