Amrap Chart Wrap: New Faces Enter the Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees new faces entering the community radio charts.

Emma Louise debuts at #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart with her delicate new single Underflow, having picked up spots in Edge Radio Hobart and SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 new music lists. The piano soundscape also picks up #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart, receiving additional airplay at stations including 5GTR FM in SA, Noongar Radio and 89.7 FM in WA, 3NRG, SYN, 979 FM and 3MBG in VIC as well as 2RRR, Port Stephens FM, FBi Radio, 2SSR and Valley FM in NSW.

Marlon Williams has climbed to #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Hello Miss Lonesome. The track has received airplay at regional stations in every state and territory including 2XX in Canberra, CAAMA in NT, 4UFM in WA, Star FM and King Island Community Radio in TAS, Tribe FM, Coast FM and Umeewarra Media in SA, Noosa Community Radio, Gin Gin’s Own, Burnett River Radio and Valley FM in QLD, Bay FM, Radio Blue Mountains, Valley FM, 2MCE and 2WAY FM in NSW, as well as Casey Radio, 3MDR, Inner FM, The Pulse, Radio Murrindindi, Voice FM and Phoenix FM in VIC.

Good Morning enter the Amrap Metro Chart at #2 with Cab Deg. Listen to Liam and Stefan from the band’s interview with Jas Moore on Triple R Melbourne’s Local and/or General, chatting about the release of their new EP and Twin Peaks’ Deputy Andy following them on Twitter.

Nick Charles takes out #3 in the Amrap Regional Chart with his fingerpicking blues track Three Lines Deep. The track has picked up airplay across the country at stations including ArtSound FM in ACT, Gove FM in NT, Tjuma Pulka FM and Wangki Yupurnanupurru Radio in WA, Gin Gin’s Own and Sunshine FM in QLD, 3CR, 3RPC, and North West FM in VIC, Monaro FM, Ten FM and 2BOB in NSW, as well as Hills Radio, WOW FM, 5GTR and Radio Alexandrina in SA.

Christopher Coleman Collective’s festive single December has risen to #3 in the Amrap Metro Chart. Watch the official film clip as featured via Amrap Pages on Edge Radio Hobart’s station website. The dulcet tune has received spins across Australia at stations including KCR FM in WA, 4ZZZ FM in Brisbane, Valley FM, 2AIR FM, 2SEA, Eastside Radio and 2EAR FM in NSW, as well as 3CR, Plenty Valley FM, 3ZZZ and JOY 94.9 in VIC.

Joe Creighton takes #5 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the title track to his new album Running Free. Listen to their interview on Purple Haze on Southern FM in VIC, chatting about the album before playing it live-to-air in its entirety.

Sons of the East join the Amrap Regional Chart ranks with Into the Sun. Watch the official video clip as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including 3MDR in VIC as well as Triple H and FBi Radio in NSW.

Fourteen Nights at Sea have cracked the Amrap Metro Chart at #9 with Vale. Listen to their chat on PBS FM Melbourne’s Pojama People, chatting with the band about stepping out of the shadows of their influences.

Bonjah enter the Amrap Regional Chart at #9 with Move On. The band have been doing the rounds of community radio recently.
