Amrap Chart Wrap: Methyl Ethel and changoTree Top Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Methyl Ethel and changoTree move into the top spots.

Methyl Ethel have moved up to #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart and #3 in the Regional Chart with No. 28, having picked up positions in SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16, RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection and FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list. changoTRee sail into the top spot in the Amrap Regional Chart with Justa Little Bit having received airplay across the country at stations including Fraser Coast FM and Coast FM in QLD, Hills Radio, Tribe FM, and Trax FM in SA, 2BOB, 2SEA, SWR FM, 2NSB, 2RDJ, 2CCR, and Nambucca Valley Radio in NSW, as well as 3RPC, 3WBC, 3WAY FM, Voice FM, Yarra Valley FM, 3NRG, Eastern FM, North West FM and Inner FM in VIC.

WAAX enjoy #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart, also taking #7 in the Regional stakes with Same Same having picked up spots in SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16, 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20 and FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list. Brian Cadd & the Bootleg Family Band is still going strong in the Amrap Regional Chart, taking #2 with Long Time ’till the First Time, having racked up airplay across the country at stations including 2MCR in NSW, Albany Community Radio in WA, Fleurieu FM, Coast FM, PBA FM, and Triple Z in SA, 3WAY FM, 3RPC, Sunraysia Community Radio, 3WBC and 3MDR in VIC, as well as Fraser Coast FM, Valley FM, 4OUR FM, Coast FM, and Gin Gin’s Own in QLD. Lonelyspeck has bumped up to #3 in the Amrap Metro Chart with All my Skin on the Air, having picked up spots in RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection, SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 and FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list, as well as additional airplay at stations including 5 Triple Z in SA and 2RDJ and Edge FM in NSW.

Benny Walker is still going strong in the Amrap Regional Chart, taking #4 in his fourth charting week with Save. Christopher Port enters the Amrap Metro Chart at #5 with My Love having picked up spots in RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection and a spot in FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list, along with additional airplay all over at stations including Burnett River Community Radio in QLD, 2RRR and Vox FM in NSW, as well as Fresh FM, 5 Triple Z and 5GTR in SA.

Tullara has held onto #5 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Better Hold On. Watch the QLD singer perform a live acoustic rendition of the charting track as featured via Amrap pages on 2GLF and Eastside FM in NSW’s station websites.

Client Liaison leap frog to #6 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Wild Life. One half of the band Monte Morgan, joined Erin from The Hoist on SYN Radio Melbourne, chatting about their debut album Diplomatic Immunity. Ribongia debuts at #7 in the Amrap Metro Chart with We Run Tings (Feat. Footsie) having racked up spots in RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection and FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list. Ribongia are nominated for Record of the Year in FBi Radio Sydney’s annual SMAC Awards for their EP Escapisms from earlier in the year.

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever retain a spot in the Amrap Metro Chart, taking #8 with Julie’s Place having picked up a spot in FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list and Edge Radio Hobart’s Recommended list, along with additional airplay at stations including Nag Radio in QLD, Inner FM and PBS FM in VIC, as well as Coast FM, SWR FM and Yass FM in NSW.

Slum Sociable take #8 in the Amrap Regional Chart and #9 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Name Call. The band picked up a spot in FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list, Edge Radio Hobart’s Recommended new music list and SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16, as well as additional airplay across the country at stations including Eastside Radio in NSW, Gin Gin’s Own in QLD, RTR FM Perth, Edge Radio Hobart, 5 Triple Z in SA, as well as 3NRG and Inner FM in VIC.

Owen Rabbit joins the ranks of the Amrap Metro Chart, taking #10 with Oh my God, having picked up spots in SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 and Edge Radio Hobart’s Recommended new music list. The electronic single has picked up additional airplay all over at stations including Valley FM in QLD, Inner FM in VIC, Fleurieu FM, 5 Triple Z and 5GTR in SA, as well as Vox FM, 2EAR and 2RRR in NSW.
