Amrap Chart Wrap: Courtney Barnett Tops Community Radio Chart

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Courtney Barnett take out the top spot in both the Amrap Regional and Metro Charts.

Courtney Barnett reigns supreme, taking #1 in both charts with her slack-jawed single Three Packs a Day. Barnett performed live at Sugar Mountain Festival on the weekend, broadcast live on the Melbourne station Triple R. The popular songstress has been no stranger to community radio over the years. Listen to her live set in Triple R Melbourne’s performance space and a live-to-air on FBi Radio last year.

Krista Pav & the Social Fabric continue their five week streak in the Amrap Regional Chart, taking #2 with Down Town. The soulful track has racked up airplay all over at stations including Noongar Radio in WA, ArtSound FM Canberra, 4YOU and Noosa Community Radio in QLD, Fleurieu FM, Umeewarra Media, 5THE, Tribe FM and Alex FM in SA, North West FM, Castlemaine District Radio, Casey Radio, Swan Hill Community Radio and 3MGB in VIC, as well as Koori Radio, Yass FM, Braidwood Community Radio, Radio Blue Mountains, Monaro FM, Radio Skid Row, Valley FM, 2MCE, 2ser, Edge FM and 2EAR in NSW.

Big Bad Echo are back in the Amrap Metro Chart at #2 for the second week running with Ice Breaker, having picked up a spot in 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20. The track has picked up airplay all around at stations including Twin Cities Radio in WA, Edge Radio Hobart, 4ZZZ and Valley FM in QLD, 5ZZZ and 5GTR in SA, Southern FM, Voice FM and Plenty Valley Radio in VIC, as well as Byron Bay FM, 2NBC, 2SEA, 2RDJ and 2RRR in NSW.

The Drones debut at #3 in the Amrap Metro Chart with To Think that I Once Loved You, having picked up spots in FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list and Three D Radio Adelaide’s Top 20+1. Catch the Melbourne four-piece playing live-to-air on PBS Drive Live this afternoon and watch the single’s artfully filmed official clip as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including FBi Radio Sydney, 4ZZZ Brisbane, Edge Radio Hobart, and Triple R and 979 FM in VIC.

James Blundell enters the Amrap Regional Chart at #4 with the cheeky single Borderline Summertime. Blundell caught up with the Casey Radio team at Tamworth Country Music Festival. The track has picked up airplay across the east coast at stations including North West FM and JOY 94.9 in VIC, Fraser Coast Community Radio and Noosa Community Radio in QLD, and Eden Community Radio, Ten FM, 2AIR FM and Vox FM in NSW.

The Jezabels are back, entering the Amrap Metro Chart at #4 with the disco hall single Pleasure Drive, having picked up a spot in FBi Radio Sydney’s new music list. Sydney soul woman Liza Ohlback takes #5 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Gonna be a Bad Day. Ohlback joined Ross in the Alive 90.5 studio on the Australian Spectrum Show to chat about her new album Give you Hell.

Jess Ribeiro is back at #5 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Mikey Young’s remix of her much loved single Hurry Back to Love. Catch Jess (sans Mikey) playing live-to-air on PBS Drive Live this Wednesday from 5-7pm.

The Woodland Hunters take #6 in their fourth week in the Amrap Regional Chart with If you want to Wear that Crown. Watch a live clip of the song as featured on 2MCR and Nambucca Valley Radio in NSW’s station websites.

Billy Fox comes in at #7 in the Amrap Metro Chart with the homesick single East Coast, also taking #9 in the Amrap Regional Chart. The song has received airplay in every state and territory at stations including Edge Radio Hobart, 2RRR in NSW, 2XX Canberra, 8CCC in NT, Twin Cities Radio in WA, Fleurieu FM and 5GTR in SA, as well as 3RPC, 3NRG and HOT FM in VIC.

Georgi Kay joins the ranks of the Regional Chart at #7 with their non-Roxy Music related single More than This. Watch the official video clip as featured via Amrap Pages on stations including 2RRR in Sydney, Fleurieu FM in SA, 979 FM in VIC, and Harvey Community Radio and RTR FM in WA.

Fascinator has broken the Amrap Metro Chart at #8 with Time to Go having picked up a spot in FBi Radio Sydney’s New Music list. Jade Alice makes her first appearance in the Amrap Regional Chart at #8 with Kick Drum.
