Acta Launches Expanded Talent Directory Following $2 Million Industry Raise
Following a $2 million industry-led raise, Australian talent booking platform acta has launched an expanded talent directory.

Australian talent booking platform acta has unveiled an expanded directory connecting professional bookers with more than 9,000 performers, speakers and personalities across the entertainment industry.
The subscription-based platform brings together more than 6,000 represented acts and 3,000 independent performers, spanning music, comedy, sport, television, content creation and other entertainment categories.
The launch follows an industry-led equity and crowdfunding campaign in November 2025, which raised more than $2 million from over 250 investors, including TEG Dainty President Paul Dainty, Profile Talent Management Chairman Shaun Levin, Bohm Presents' Seb and Adrian Bohm, Tina Arena, Michael Parisi, and The Veronicas' Jess Origliasso.
Founded by entertainment industry professional Harris Meitanis, who also manages Australian comedy group Sooshi Mango, acta is designed to simplify the talent sourcing and booking process for event organisers, agencies, marketers and other industry professionals.
The updated platform introduces AI-powered search capabilities, allowing users to identify potential talent based on specific briefs, budgets and requirements. Integrations with Spotify, Bandsintown, and Meta will also provide access to music, touring information and audience insights.
Bookers can search the directory directly or post opportunities that are distributed to matching talent and their representatives, creating additional opportunities for both established and emerging performers.
The company has also moved away from its previous pay-per-use model in favour of subscriptions, with negotiations and payments handled directly between bookers and talent representatives.

“Connecting vetted professionals with talent and their verified representatives easily and cost-effectively is good for the industry as a whole. It increases bookings and manages budget expectations across the board. Talent has previously carried the cost of being found, even when the service was really for the booker and it’s time to flip that on its head,” Meitanis said.
Since its beta launch, acta said it has facilitated more than $15 million in payments directly to talent and their management, while securing support from more than 95% of Australia's talent agencies and management companies, according to the company.
The directory features listings sourced from verified talent and representatives, while prospective bookers undergo an application and vetting process before gaining access.
“Unlike other directories, bookers can’t just sign up. They apply, and everyone is vetted, so representatives know each enquiry which comes through is genuine. Briefs can be kept simple or ‘supercharged’ with full detail on scope and requirements, so talent get what they need up front, and nothing is lost in translation,” Meitanis said.
The platform is free for talent and their representatives, with subscriptions available to professional bookers ranging from $99 to $499 per month. See here for details.
