LIBERATION SHOWS LOVE FOR EMERSON SNOWE

Liberation Records has added Brisbane act Emerson Snowe to its roster, and releasing the track ‘Could You Love Me’ as a single.

Emerson Snowe was created by Jarrod Mahon (The Creases founding member and bassist) some years ago, and been making tracks under that moniker.

But this is the first time Snowe has signed a deal.

Mahon explains, “Emerson Snowe is a project that I have had for years, since I was in school.

“It has always been some form of an outlet of representing my ‘true’ self in a way.

“It started as a kind of heightened version of my self-awareness but over time I’m finding it to become basically who I am as a person.

“This has given me the confidence I’ve always wanted to give my art and music.”

Mahon’s approach to making music under the Emerson Snowe name was that it had to be completed from the idea striking to finished product in 20 minutes.

The fact that he’s been off the booze for 20 months has made the process quicker.

The song is written about his girlfriend Tina, and it comes with a self-directed video.

Among those on the Liberation roster are D.D Dumbo, Gordi, Julia Jacklin, Slum Sociable and Vance Joy.
