The music biz has come out swinging in support of Egg Boy, who hit Queensland senator Fraser Anning with an egg.

The egg attack came after Anning declared in the wake of the terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch, NZ, that the “real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place”.

Egg Boy – aka 17-year-old Will Connolly – has become an eggs-hilirated overnight global internet star.

Something which symbolised an eggs-haution with clichéd point-scoring in the face of human tragedy.

Or the fact he was so cool he kept filming after what started as a yolk.

The Rolling Loud festival, Hilltop Hoods, The Living End, The Amity Affliction, Violent Soho and Mountain Goats were among the first to rush to their social media to give their thumbs-up for his action – and to also offer him free entry to their shows in perpetuity.

Cheered the Hilltop Hoods: “Egg Boy, you have free entry to any Hoods show for life should you wish.”

Violent Soho were impressed enough to even make him part of their entourage:

“Holy shit, he full smacks him with a lefty and egg boy just cops it and keeps filming. Cool as ya like mate, what a legend! Egg boy has guest list for life. Hell, he can be our official photographer too… Love you egg boy!”

A GoFundMe campaign to raise $2,000 for legal fees shot past $22,000 – which could buy Egg Boy even more eggs.

A separate petition on change.org calling for Senator Fraser Anning to be removed from parliament has amassed more than 1 million.

Connolly posted a video: “Don’t egg politicians, you get tackled by thirty bogans at the same time, I learnt the hard way.

Eggs marks the spot!
