More added to 2016 WAMCon, over 80 live acts performing

Charts & New Music Editor

Bolstering the existing lineup of speakers for this year’s WAMCon, West Australian Music (WAM) has added FBi Radio’s Music Director Stephen Goodhew, WME booking agent Rebecca Young, Unified’s head of artist management Nick Yates and founder of Parlour Gigs Matt Walters, plus many more.

The new inclusions join an already stacked lineup including notable names such as Dom Alessio from triple j, Ground Control Touring’s John Chavez and Gareth Liddiard from The Drones.

With 36 speakers already announced for the event, more than 50 speakers are expected to make an appearance at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia for the two-day event in November, with another announcement to be made closer to the event date.

Celebrating original homegrown live music, Saturday Spectacular will feature a selection of more than 80 performing acts. From Fremantle’s Hideous Sun Demon to Small Town Heroes, the line-up of artists showcases a diverse range of local Western Australian talent.

Additionally, photography competition Kiss My Camera will make a return to WAMCon after a three-year break, with over $11,000 in prizes to be won.
