Modular’s Paul Stix announces agency UNDR ctrl

Former Modular booking agent Paul Stix has announced his booking, touring and events agency UNDR ctrl.

Stix has already hosted events and signed artists like triple j Unearthed favourite Albert Salt, 17-year-old producer Just A Gent – who took out the Breakthrough Producer of the Year award at the Stoney Roads – Sydney duo Canyons, electro-pop band Van She and dance-pop duo Bag Raiders under the banner. However as he tells TMN, the undisclosed approach was intentional.

“UNDR ctrl has been bubbling under the radar for a few months hosting a number of intimate parties and slowly getting the word out,” Stix told TMN. “Now that the full infrastructure is in place, I’m ready to announce the agency in all its glory.”

While UNDR ctrl was operating under-wraps, Stix headed up Modular’s bookings under the guise of The Musique Agency, a post he’s held for four years.

UNDR ctrl is set to host BROCASE (with Purple Sneakers & Mutual Friends) at Brisbane’s T.B.C Club on Thursday September 11 as well as a launch party. The launch will be presented by FBi Radio and THUMP and held at Sydney’s Backroom on Friday September 19.
