Lupa J Joins Little Wise At The Top Of The Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Lupa J rise up into the #1 position in the Amrap Metro Chart, with Little Wise holding onto #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart.

Lupa J has moved into #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart this week, with her latest offering ‘Keep Back’. Lupa J joined Nick Hollins on Skydreams on FBi Radio, where she played her favourite pop and electronica tracks, and chatted about how they inspired her upcoming EP.  She also discusses the evolution of sound from her previous EP, and how she feels more exposed on-stage since altering her live show setup. Good Boy debut at #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with their track ‘Fishing With A Shotgun’. Listen to the audio for the garage-rock track as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including 4ZZZ Brisbane, 3MDR and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC, as well as FBi Radio and 2RRR in NSW. Benny Walker has maintained his position at #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart for the third consecutive week, with the track ‘Ghost’. Demon Days enter the Amrap Metro Chart at #3 with ‘Killer Bees’. Demon Days joined Breakfast on RTRFM Perth to perform as a guest on the Slightly Odway segment. The Perth based musicians’ transformed Spacey Jane’s ‘Still Running’ into a funk-infused gem, delivered live on the program, with the performance available to watch here. The slow-burning, syncopated and soulful charting track was included in RTRFM’s Sound Selection and SYN’s Sweet 16, with additional airplay from Voice of the Avon in WA, 3WBC in VIC, Star FM in TAS, 5BBB in SA, as well as Coast FM, TLC FM and Eastside FM in NSW.

Moving to #3 in the Amrap Regional Chart is Alice Skye with the single ‘60%’. Alice Skye stopped by Yesterdays Hedgehog on 4ZZZ Brisbane, where she spoke about recording and writing her debut album, the excitement surrounding her first LP, and the differences between playing with a band and playing solo. Meredith Whittle enters the Amrap Regional Chart at #4 with ‘Fancy Woman’. Watch Meredith Whittle perform a live rendition of ‘Fancy Woman’ as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including 96.5 Inner FM in VIC as well as 107.3 HFM in WA. Moving up to #5 in the Amrap Metro Chart is Tropical F**k Storm with ‘Chameleon Paint’. The rock track, which features Gareth Liddiard’s snarling vocals, backed by a female chorus of howls, received an inclusion in FBi Radio’s New Music List, Edge Radio’s New Music List and also SYN’s Sweet 16, with further airplay from HFM in WA, Three D Radio in SA, 2SEA, Yass FM, 2ser and 92.5FM  Youth Radio in NSW, as well as 979fm, 3WBC, OCR FM and PBS FM in VIC.

Emma Russack ascends to #6 in the Amrap Metro Chart with ‘Body Goals’. Check out the official clip for the track, as featured via Amrap Pages, on station websites including 2RRR in NSW, Edge Radio in Hobart, 4ZZZ and Fraser Coast FM in QLD, RTRFM and 107.3 HFM in WA, as well as Triple R and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC. Debuting at #7 in the Amrap Regional Chart is The Soul Movers with their track ‘Fool I Am’. Murray and Lizzie from the five-piece joined Stuart Coupe of Dirt Music on 2ser in Sydney to have a chat and perform a track live-to-air. Cloud Control enter the Amrap Metro Chart at #8 with their track ‘Treetops’. The pop-rock track, which features an anthemic melody, has earned radio support from 107.3 HFM in WA, Star FM in TAS, Noosa FM in QLD, 2RRR and 2BOB Radio in NSW, as well as 3MDR and 3NRG in VIC. 

Citizen Kay takes out #9 during his third appearance in the Amrap Metro Charts with latest single ‘Static’. The Creases debut at #9 in the Amrap Regional Chart with ‘Answer To’. Aimon and Joe from The Creases joined Jack Off on FBi Radio Sydney where they discussed their recent Sydney show, their debut album Tremolow, and also performed the charting track ‘Answer To’ live to air.
